MACHINE LEARNING IS THE FUTURE

Nellore Krishna Keerthi

Machine learning can be understood as a specific set of techniques that enable machines to learn from data and make predictions. It is an application of artificial intelligence. Machine learning mainly focuses on developing computer programs that can access data, analyse it and use it to learn. One of the nice things about the machine learning community right now is how open it is to ideas and for research. It's not limited to companies we typically think of as having huge R&D budgets- Google, Facebook, and Microsoft. Machine learning is helping nearly every Fortune 500 company run more efficiently and make more money.

Machine learning and other cutting-edge technologies have opened new opportunities for these big companies. It helps them plan their marketing budget smarter. These new technologies allow companies to analyze tons of data in a relatively short time, getting deep insights into managing big data and getting powerful and actionable insights. This is going to be the most important basis for any online business in the near future.

Effective business marketing reaches its audience and creates conversions. Machine learning has the potential to reduce a lot of marketing’s imprecise nature. Using behavioural data, marketers can target their audiences in an efficient way that greatly improves the likelihood of converting shoppers to customers.

Developers say that much of what we do with machine learning happens beneath the surface. It drives our algorithms for demand forecasting, product search, ranking, recommendations, placements, translations and a lot more. Although forecasting is hard, we need it because it is hard to run a business without doing it.

Since connecting with your customer is what drives relationship marketing, copywriters use the insight at their company’s or client’s disposal to craft advertisements and email marketing campaigns that speak to the audience. Machine learning, on the other hand, provides an actual meaning of sentimental analysis so marketers know what to say and how the audience is likely to react. Later the effects of the sentimental analysis are laid bare on Twitter where marketers can monitor the social chatter to see what is resonating with a specific target audience. Then the brand specialists and copywriters can tweak advertisements in response to comments and the replies received which helps in bringing out the right message to the surface.

These days the world has moved almost completely online where machine learning can adapt to handle some of marketing’s toughest challenges. "Cost" is the main criteria for marketing. Machine learning helps in reducing marketing expenses because the number of people it requires to be involved is very few. It also drastically cuts communication costs, as a majority of customers can be kept updated on offers and information through automatic e-mails, scheduled social media posts and online advertisements or through other means.

Machine learning informs production and distribution of offline materials too, which allows marketers to point out the right quality and use the most efficient channels, reducing excessive costs related to overproduction. This technology includes APIs and services through which developers can create more discoverable and intelligent applications. Machine learning APIs will allow developers to introduce more intelligent features such as emotion detection or speech, facial recognition as well as language and speech understanding into their applications. Facebook also uses machine learning to personalize each member’s news feed. Behind the scenes the software is simply using statistical analysis and predictive analysis to identify patterns in the user’s data and use those patterns to populate the news feed.

Machine learning skills could only be bridged by providing the workforce that can handle its intricacies. The business would plug into tap algorithm models that would improve and enhance their operations and customer-facing functions. The algorithms would take the business to a whole new level. Machine learning has a bright future ahead that would help humans to enter a new modified era. There is less fear of losing our jobs because it would just change the way we work, which would be more enjoyable and less tiring.
