Meet These Young Entrepreneurs

All great businesses start with a mere idea. How you
execute the idea is what makes you an entrepreneur. These teenage entrepreneurs
had a crazy idea. Alongside, the idea, they made smart decisions. And now, they
are thriving as young business owners.
1.
Noa
Mintz
At only 16, Noa Mintz founded a company called Nannies
by Noa which provides childcare services for families in New York City and the
Hamptons. Mintz started her first business at the age of 10. Her first venture
was taking art classes alongside planning children birthday parties. Of course,
her execution was not as perfect as she was only 10 years old. But today, Noa
runs a childcare agency. She has been known to handle critical responsibilities
like vetting the nannies, handling customer issues, monitoring the background
checks on the nannies.
2.
George
Matus
He is an 18-year-old who founded a company called
Teal. Teal markets commercial drones and its flagship product is a
battery-operated, camera equipped unmanned aerial vehicle that reaches high
speed as fast as 70 mph. Matus has been building and flying RC planes and
drones since he was in high school. To learn more about this field, he would
work with companies as a pilot to learn about the complete spectrum of drone
technology. After gaining some experience, he made a wishlist of all the
features a perfect drone would require and incorporated those into his product.
Matus has raised more than $2.8 million in seed funding and is a recipient of
the Thiel Fellowship.

Mikaila
Ulmer
As a founder of Me & the Bees Lemonade, this 11-year-old
gives all the kids with lemonade stands a run for their money. Me & the
Bees offers lemonade that promotes usage of flaxseed and local honey as a
sweetener which can be found in retailers like Whole Foods and Wegmans. Ulmer
concerned about the well being of bees, donates a portion of the profits to
organisations that help save bees. She plans on continuing her journey as a
social entrepreneur in the future and teach people about entrepreneurship.

Shubham
Banerjee
The founder of Braigo labs is 14 year old. Braigo Labs
was formed to help the visually impaired by offering them low cost Braille
printers. Their main motive is to provide seamless solutions for life’s
problems. Their new model uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to automatically print text
from a website and translate it into Braille. Banerjee has big plans for his
future as he wants to join a field which merges both his passions i.e. health
and science.
5.
Shravan
Kumaran and Sanjay Kumaran
These two 16 and 15 year old brothers have founded Go
Dimensions. This company is an app development unit which they started in their
own house. Over a few years, they have developed 7 apps which are available at
the app store along with 3 other apps which are available at Google’s android play
store. Their most popular apps include Catch Me Cop which is game about a
prisoner who escapes jail and is hiding from the police.
6. Sreelakshmi Suresh
At age 17, Suresh is the CEO and founder of eDesign
Technology. eDesign is a website designing company offering services like
website design, web development, SEO and logo designing. They have already catered
their facilities to more than 100 websites for various institutions and
organisations including Bar Council of Kerala, Angels International, EHP India,
Mammas Passion, and others.

Keegan
Bonds-Harmon
This 16 year old is the founder of Keegan’s Creatures.
He started his business by learning how to screen print, then he made
conceptual designs which mostly consisted of monsters and crazy things out of
his imagination. He then, transferred those designs to a T shirt. Harmon, then
began selling them at local artist markets, independent stores and on Etsy. Recently
Bonds-Harmon won the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship New England Regional
Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. Now, he is competing for the top prize in the
Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s National Youth Entrepreneurship
Challenge.
These inspiring youngsters prove that business is not
just for adults anymore. If you are teen with an idea that could blossom into a
full-fledged business then welcome to the world of possibilities. These
teenagers made smart decisions as teenagers. One day they’ll look back at these
times and have a sense of self accomplishment and pride. Hopefully, stories
like these inspire everyone to take initiative.
